Advising

Advising for Engineering Sciences is available in three different areas: Faculty, Department and Student.

Faculty advisers

Each student in Engineering Science (ES) is assigned a faculty adviser in ES.  Faculty advisers (and, indeed, all faculty members) hold office hours when they are available for meeting with students.  They also can be contacted (by e-mail or phone) to schedule an appointment.  You are expected to meet with your faculty adviser at least once each semester, prior to enrolling in classes for the following term, when you will review your Degree Worksheet and also discuss your plans for the upcoming term. Ask your faculty adviser about coursework in the major field, careers in ES, graduate school, letters of recommendation, and summer internships. Faculty adviser office hours can be found here.

Departmental contact

The undergraduate adviser for ES answers registration questions, interprets departmental policy, and makes referrals to resources on campus. To make an appointment, or send an email inquiry, please email: engineeringscience@berkeley.edu.
